Nada Lopardina
b. 1984, Krasnoyarsk, Russia. Lives and works in Belgrade, Serbia.
Nadezhda Lopardina is an artist working with painting and installation.Her practice explores the limits of bodily experience, personal memory, identity, and existential borderline states.
She graduated from the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts in Saint Petersburg as a stage designer and later studied at Arseny Zhilyaev’s contemporary art workshop. Alongside her individual practice, she works with collective projects and self-organised initiatives. She is a co-organiser of KP Radionica, a cultural space and workshop in Belgrade, Serbia.
Her recent solo exhibitions include Hands at Ulična Galerija, Belgrade; 491 Disappearing Frames at Dom Omladine, Belgrade; nem(oj) protest at KC Radionica, Belgrade; and Two Viewers, an apartment exhibition in Almaty, Kazakhstan. She has also participated in group exhibitions in Serbia, Russia and other contexts, including projects at Cultural Center Grad, Ulična Galerija, ULUS, Zvezda, and Gallery 24.
